Perati – Summit Hike | Introduction to the Peaks Project
On Sunday, 6 December 2026, Wanderlust invites you to Perati, in the Vravrona area, for a circular hike combining coastal scenery, rocky passages and a summit ascent. An introductory activity to the Wanderlust Peaks Project, for hikers who want to develop their experience and prepare for our upcoming mountain ascents.
🔶 Our destination
Perati is a coastal ridge in Eastern Attica, in the Chamolia area, near Vravrona and Porto Rafti. Its rocky ridges, low Mediterranean vegetation and sea views create a distinctive hiking landscape within easy reach of Athens.
The area also has historical significance: a Late Mycenaean cemetery has been excavated on Perati’s southern slope. Off the coast near Chamolia lies the small rocky islet of the same name.

🔶 Our route
We will follow a circular route combining Arachnes Beach with an ascent to Perati’s summit. From the coastal landscape, we will move onto the rocky slopes and ridges, discovering different views of the area along the way.

The route includes rocky terrain and short technical scrambling sections where you need to use your hands for support and to move over the rocks. We will negotiate these sections carefully, following the leaders’ instructions and keeping the group together.

At the summit, we will take a break to rest and take photographs, enjoying panoramic views of the sea and surrounding coastline before continuing our circular route.

🔶 Introduction to the Wanderlust Peaks Project
The Wanderlust Peaks Project connects hiking with summit ascents through routes that develop endurance, movement skills and teamwork. Perati offers an introduction to these demands through a combination of uphill sections, descents and technical passages.
During the hike, we will become more familiar with managing our effort on ascents, placing our feet carefully on descents and moving over rocky terrain with guidance from the leaders.
🔶 Who is this activity for?
This activity is intended for people with good physical fitness, previous hiking experience and confidence on uneven and rocky terrain. It requires secure footing and the ability to negotiate short technical passages using your hands.
Its introductory nature refers to becoming familiar with the demands of the Wanderlust Peaks Project. It is not suitable as a first hiking experience. If you are unsure whether this route is appropriate for your experience, please contact us before registering.
Detailed route statistics and the difficulty grade are provided in the activity information table.
