Hiking in North Hymettus

On Sunday 8/12 we will do a beautiful circular hike in Northern Ymittos starting from the holy monastery of Saint John Kynegos.

While hiking we will enjoy the view towards the basin of Attica and we will pass by the bat cave and we will reach the peak Korakovouni with an altitude of 692m.

Then we will cross the ridge and reach the peak of Korakas at 728m. where the big cairn stands proud and welcomes us for our long stop.

In this position, we will enjoy the wonderful panoramic view seeing Evia to the east, Parnitha and Penteli mountains to the north.

Our return will be through a path where we will meet the Lion cave and we will return to the Monastery.

Our meeting point is at Holy monastery of Saint John Kynegos at 09:15
