Hiking from Agoriani to Polydrosos Mt.Parnassos

On Sunday 02/02 we will hike on the national trail O22 from Agoriani (Eptalofos) to Polydrosos, on a beautiful path among firs, cedars, black pines and mushrooms!

The landscape alternates throughout the route from dense forest to meadows with beautiful views of the surrounding mountain peaks and passes by an impressive cave abyss and a well, to reach Polydrosos.

The route starts from Agoriani square where we descend into small streets after the church of Agioi Anargyroi and enter a path that brings us to the dirt road.

We move for a while on the dirt road and pass by the abandoned house just after the large abyss of Agoriani and then enter a dense forest of large firs.

From this point, our downhill course begins, passing the old well of Avgeris and the well of Kousoulas.

Our downhill course continues on rocky slopes and small openings where we will soon see Polydrosos and the continuation of the route leads us to the Drakokarkaros chasm.

At the end of the route, we pass next to the terrace of the ancient temple and end exactly at the large springs of Kifissos.

The springs are known as the springs of Agia Eleousa, which are 300 m long and 37 m deep.

Participants should be in moderate physical condition, with no recent injury.

Meeting point: Ag.Antonios metro station at 06:40 am in the morning. There will be additional stops at former Renault, Kalyftakis and Agios Stefanos.
